Detecting your headphones…
Volume and calibration are set automatically.
  1. You will hear tones that sound like two beeps.
  2. Tap LEFT or RIGHT when you hear the tone in that ear.
  3. If you do not hear a tone, do not tap the buttons.
  4. If you tap a button incorrectly, don't worry. Simply continue and the test will automatically re-test unusual results.

Make sure L and R are correct

Put your headphones on the right way round. Tap each button below and confirm you hear the tone in that ear. If they're swapped, switch them before continuing.

Is your room quiet?

We'll listen for about 8 seconds to make sure background noise won't affect your results. Please stay quiet — even a cough can cause it to fail.

Hearing loss is one of the most common chronic health conditions, affecting people of all ages. The ability to hear affects many aspects of life, and the loss of hearing can be disabling. And yet, only a small fraction of the population has had their hearing tested, and the majority of people with hearing loss have no idea that they have a problem. Fortunately, getting your hearing tested now requires nothing more than a quiet room and a few minutes of your time.

The Agilis Audiogram is a self-administered hearing test that can be used for a spot-check of hearing health or to track hearing health over time. A nurse assistant, workplace safety officer or other health professional should supervise the test and ensure the subject is placed in a quiet room before beginning the test.
